Adding a Twitter Timeline to a Website Page or Structure Block

If you want to add a Twitter Timeline to a Website Content Page or a Block in your Website Structure, follow these steps:

Step 1 - Get the HTML code for your Twitter Timeline

  • Open a browser window and go to the Twitter support page that explains how to get the HTML code for your Twitter Timeline at  The directions should look something like the image below.  Leave this window open so you can copy the code later.

  • Or, you can just try replacing "Your Twitter Name" in this HTML code (in blue).  This is NOT customized for width, height, etc.:

<p><a class="twitter-timeline" href="" data-tweet-limit="5">Tweets by Your Twitter Name</a></p>
<script src="//"></script>
<p> </p>

Step 2 - Add the HTML code to your Website Content Page or Structure Block

  1. In a different browser window, open your Membership Toolkit website.
  2. Go to Dashboard / Website.
    • To add this HTML code to a web page - Go to the Content tab and select the page you want to add the Twitter Timeline to.  Open this page for editing.
    • To add this HTML code to a Structure Block - Go to the Structure tab, and then go to the Region where you want to add the code.  Add a new HTML Block and then open it for editing.
  3. In the Content Editor for either, click on the source code button that looks like <>.

  4. Copy/paste the HTML code from the Twitter Timeline browser window into the source code in the spot at which you want it to show up.

  5. Click "OK" to return to the Content Editor.  NOTE: You will not see the actual Twitter Timeline in the Content Editor.  You will need to open the page on your website to check if the Twitter Timeline code is working properly.
  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
  7. Go to your Website Page to check the Twitter Timeline.
